Visa approval letter is a document issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department (Vietnam Ministry of Public Security) that permits foreigners to enter and exit Vietnam in a given period. With the visa approval letter, you can get onto the plane and pick up your visa upon arrival at one of the three international airports in Vietnam (Hanoi, Hochiminh City, and Da Nang).

Please take note that the visa approval letter is NOT available for those who travel by LAND or by CRUISE.

Is the fee that the applicants must pay in cash at the landing visa office (landing visa counter) at the arrival airport.

• 25 USD/person for less than 90 days single entry
• 50 USD/person from 30 days to less than 90 days multiple entries visa
• 95 USD/person from 90 days to less than 180 days multiple entries visa
• 135 USD/person for 1 year multiple entries visa

Vietnam visa on arrival type is granted according to the duration of stay, the number of entries and visiting purpose, including:

• 1 Month single entry: You are permitted to stay in Vietnam ONCE during the first month of your Visa Validity. After exiting Vietnam, your visa will automatically become invalid. If you would like to re-enter, you will need to apply for a new visa.
• 1 Month Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during the One Month validity of your visa.
• 3 Months single entry: You are permitted to enter Vietnam ONCE during your Three Months visa validity. After exiting Vietnam, your visa will automatically become invalid. If you would like to re-enter, you will need to apply for a new visa.
• 3 Months Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during the Three Months of your visa validity.
• 6 Months Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during the Six Months of your visa validity.
• 1 Year Multiple entries: You are permitted to enter Vietnam as Many Times as you want during the One Year of your visa validity.

Almost every foreigner needs an entry visa to Vietnam except for nationals named in the Vietnam visa exemption list.

Vietnam visa exemption list:

·         Visa-free less than 30 days: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia (*).

·         Visa-free less than 21 days: Philippines (*).

·         Visa-free less than 14 days: Brunei, Myanmar (can enter and exit Vietnam many times (*).

·         Visa-free less than 15 days: Japan, South Korean, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Belarus, Germany, France, Spain, United Kingdom, Italy (**).

Note:

+ Citizens from (*) countries can enter and exit Vietnam many times.

+ If citizens from (**) countries wish to re-enter Vietnam under Visa exemption program again, the previous visit must be for at least 30 days farther than the next visit.

Then, 2 working days later (for normal processing), a scanned, colored PDF file of your Approval Letter will be sent to your email, be sure you have provided us with your correct email address. You will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file.

Upon receipt of the approval letter in your mail, we strongly recommend carefully checking your personal information. In case you find any mistake, please contact us as soon as possible. After receiving the Visa approval letter, make a printout (black and white is OK). You are not allowed to board the airplane without a copy of your approval letter.
